Rainbow Tourism Group, Zimbabwe, is in the process of upgrading Bulawayo Rainbow Hotel, and a new coffee shop has been added to the property.
According to Public Relations Executive, Pride Khumbula, upgrades include tiling the rooms on the first floor. “All meeting rooms and public areas (restaurant and bar) are now fully air-conditioned. All rooms now have mini-bar fridges and work is in progress to install new air-conditioning units in all the rooms,” she said.
Khumbula said work would soon commence on refurbishment of the prime meeting room in Bulawayo, The President Room, which should be completed by mid-July. She added that the hotel also expected delivery of new beds, 107cm flat-screen televisions and couches for the public areas by end of June.
“Due to increased demand by small conferencing groups, we have invested in two additional conference rooms that can take up to 30 people each, the City View and Arco Baleno. We replaced the air-conditioning units and new flooring for the Induna conference room which takes up to 40 guests. We have installed wall panelling and new lighting to enhance the ambience of the rooms,” she said.
The new coffee shop, Le Rendez-vous, offers a wide variety of teas, coffees and pastries.
