The completion date for the $360 million new Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, Zambia, has been moved forward with contractors saying they can deliver by 2017.

Initially the Zambian Airports Corporation had projected that construction will be completed in 2018.

Expansion to the airport will see passenger handling capacity increasing to six million.

New developments at the airport include two hotels an office complex and a shopping mall.
