Dyer island Cruises, based in Gansbaai in the Western Cape, launched a brand-new 50-passenger boat, the Dream Catcher, on September 5.
The Dream Catcher is a 14m catamaran with an aluminium hull designed specifically for safety, comfort and stability. The boat is equipped with an electronic navigation system, while the height and the four viewing decks provide photographic opportunities.
The boat – designed by naval architect, Pieter Volschenk of Naval Africa – is the second in the fleet of Marine Dynamics/Dyer Island Cruises.
“In spite of the slowdown in the economy and slower tourism figures as recently reported, Marine Dynamics Tours and Dyer Island Cruises continue to invest in the business, which ultimately benefits the length of stay in our area,” said Wilfred Chivell of Dyer Island Cruises.
