The luxury Club Med La Pointe aux Canonniers resort in Mauritius will soon have a fresh new look. Geneviève Dufour, Guest Relations Manager of the resort, said planned upgrades and renovations would start next month when the resort closes. “The upgrades and renovations will cover expansion of the resort by 108 new rooms.” The superior rooms in the centre of the resort are interleading and have a balcony. The resort will add an oceanfront Zen adults-only pool, a family pool with water games, and a brand-new 5 Mondes Spa area. The two restaurants and the 60 existing rooms would be completely renovated, said Dufour.
The resort will close in May and is expected to reopen on October 22.
La Pointe aux Canonniers is located on a 1 000m stretch of sandy white beach in the north of Mauritius, near Grand Bay.
