Tanganyika Wilderness Camps has opened the latest addition to its portfolio, Lahai Tented Lodge, in central Serengeti.
The lodge is in the central western corridor of Serengeti, with views to the Musabi Plains. It has 25 en-suite rooms, including four family units that consist of two interconnected rooms.
Facilities include a main house with 360-degree views, a restaurant, lounge, swimming pool and gym. The lodge is run entirely on solar energy.
The camp overlooks the central Serengeti and guests can see the Great Migration from the comfort of their tents.
The closest airstrips are Kirawira, 32km away, and Seronera, 50km.
Activities at the lodge include game drives in Serengeti National Park, hot-air balloon safaris, visits to Maasai villages and cultural activities.
Tanganyika Wilderness Camps earlier this year announced construction of two tented lodge properties including Lahai Tented Lodge. Kahawa Lodge in Arusha is expected to open in October.
TWC offers a unique collection of permanent tented safari camps, mobile camping and lodges in Tanzania.
