Park Hyatt Johannesburg is preparing for its grand opening in October. Owned by Millat Group, the 31-key hotel is ready to mark a significant milestone in South Africa's hospitality landscape.
Located in the heart of the trendy and vibrant suburb of Rosebank, the property aims to serve business and leisure travellers.
Hamza Farooqui, CEO of Millat Group, said: “At Millat, we believe in the potential of South Africa as a premier travel destination and we are delighted to soon welcome the Park Hyatt Johannesburg to the Millat property portfolio”.
Millat Group’s South African hotel portfolio includes a Hyatt Regency in Cape Town and two Hyatt House properties in Sandton and Rosebank. “With the opening of Park Hyatt Johannesburg, we are committed to showcasing the richness of our culture and the warmth of our hospitality. This hotel is not just a place to stay; it is a place to experience the best that Johannesburg has to offer,” added Farooqui.
Stephen Ansell, Managing Director of Hyatt Middle East and Africa, commented: “We are excited for the upcoming opening of Park Hyatt Johannesburg, which will mark the third Park Hyatt branded hotel in Africa. The hotel is set to offer guests an unparalleled, personalised experience that combines modern comforts with timeless sophistication”.
Park Hyatt integrates modern comforts with timeless elegance. Inspired by Johannesburg’s rich cultural heritage, the hotel’s architecture is a contemporary interpretation of the elegant colonial homes of the past, centred around a magnificent jacaranda tree.
The hotel features 26 king bedrooms, two junior suites with garden views, a wellness suite, the Winston suite and the Rosebank suite.
“From keyless entry systems to the finest Egyptian cotton linens, pillow and bath menus, every detail has been meticulously curated to provide unparalleled comfort and sophistication. Each suite will offer spa-like bathrooms with modern, luxurious bathtubs and showers and private lounge areas for moments of serene contemplation. Each element, from his and hers granite-top basins to the elegant finishes, is crafted to redefine the art of lavish living,” Ansell explained.
Park Hyatt Johannesburg also promises an extraordinary culinary journey. The hotel's dining experience will be a celebration of primeval ultra-taste fire cooking with three distinct methods – barbecue grill, slow oven and high oven – creating a sensory voyage of enchanting flavours.
