Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge, situated in Botswana’s Chobe National Park, reopened this month following a total rebuild and redesign of the public areas and guest rooms.
Sean Clark, Director of Sales, Marketing and Touring, told Tourism Update that Belmond Safaris spent US$6.5m (€5.51m) for the refurbishment.
The new lodge features a luxurious spa, a wildlife viewing hide overlooking the watering hole, and a fire pit with views of the famous Savute Channel. The lodge has 12 luxurious tented rooms, each raised on wooden platforms, and overlooking the expansive views.
All luxury tents are en-suite, offering luxurious interiors which feature a netted four-poster bed and lavish bathroom. The tents also have air conditioners and a private deck.
Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge is strategically located in the remote Savute region of Northern Botswana.
