Ethiopian Airlines has announced a new route to Windhoek, Namibia, via Gaborone, Botswana, expected to commence this month.
The airline has fifth freedom rights on the route. Mpho Goemeone, Sales Consultant at Ethiopian Airlines in Gaborone, explains that on the flight from Addis Ababa the carrier can pick up passengers in Gaborone for Windhoek and on the return flight it can carry passengers from Windhoek to Gaborone.
On Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, Flight ET0829 will depart Addis Ababa at 09h40 and arrive in Gaborone at 13h55. The flight will depart Gaborone at 14h45 to arrive in Windhoek at 16h25. The return flight ET0828 will leave Windhoek on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 10h00 arriving in Gaborone at 11h40. It will then depart Gaborone at 12h30 and arrive in Addis Ababa at 19h00.
The airline will deploy a 154-seat Boeing 737-800 on the route, configured with 16 business-class and 138 economy-class seats.
Ethiopian Airlines has operated a direct flight to Gaborone from Addis Ababa three times a week since June 2015.
