Botswana’s Minister of Wildlife, Environment and Tourism, Tshekedi Khama has confirmed plans to develop accommodation and a conference facility in the Nata Sanctuary.
The Botswana Tourism Organisation has partnered with the Nata Conservation Trust for the development, which will include accommodation for up to 24 guests in tented suites, a campsite, conference facility and a restaurant.
The proposed development is at an advanced stage with construction expected to start early next year and completion expected in November 2017.
“The lodge facility will be situated within the Nata Sanctuary approximately 2km from the entrance gate,” said Keitumetse Setlang, BTO Public Relations Manager.
An environmental management plan is being developed to guide developments.
