The 14-room Neela Boutique Hotel Stone Town will open in July in Zanzibar. The hotel is the first of two new offerings from The Neela Collection, a hotel group with a reputation for providing guests with exceptional experiences in beautiful locations.
The hotel is located in one of the city's most desirable tourism areas and all rooms offer high-end amenities.
The Breadfruit Restaurant & Café will offer a range of unique and innovative food and beverage options that embrace Stone Town's myriad cultural influences. Guests can also take advantage of the Neela Collection's partnership with a local tour operator to enjoy a range of outdoor activities, from swimming with dolphins to kitesurfing and sunset cruises on traditional dhows.
The hotel, developed by Steve and Raju Shaulis in conjunction with a local partner, caters for the high-end luxury hotel market in Stone Town. The couple's vast experience includes projects across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. They are opening another boutique hotel in Zanzibar, in Fumba, in 2024.
