Desert-adapted elephants returned to Wilderness Safaris’ Desert Rhino Camp in northern Namibia in June, with one bull and two breeding herds passing through the Damaraland area. Three rhino bulls also moved into the area, providing incredible rhino sightings.
Desert Rhino Camp is situated in the Palmwag Concession in northern Damaraland. The region has the largest free-roaming Black rhino population in Africa.
The camp comprises eight raised Meru-style canvas tents with front verandas overlooking the Etendeka Mountains, a tented dining and lounge area, a swimming pool and fire pit.
Guests can enjoy guided walks, picnics observing the wildlife and tracking the endangered Black rhino on foot or by vehicle,
