The results of our latest poll reflect divided opinion on South African National Parks (SANParks) achieving the grand ambitions of its aspirational Vision 2040.
Unveiled in Johannesburg recently, Vision 2040 is aiming to create “Mega Living Landscapes” that harmoniously balance the varied interests of communities, culture and heritage with world-leading wildlife protection.
The results of our poll indicate 38% of respondents believe SANParks could achieve the aims of Vision 2040, 40% don’t believe it’s possible and 22% are “unsure”.
Does SA have enough high-season flights?
As the high season is fast approaching, international airlines have ramped up their capacity for travellers to South Africa from key source markets. Qantas’ new A380 Sydney-Johannesburg flight is increasing its annual capacity between the two cities by 130 000 seats while KLM is among several European airlines increasing frequencies to South Africa on their winter schedules.
Although several new routes have been launched and frequencies increased in 2024, we want to know if you believe South Africa has adequate international capacity for the upcoming high season.
