Doornhoek Guesthouse in Mountain Zebra National Park, Eastern Cape, will reopen on October 1. It had closed following a fire in September 2013. Bookings for the guesthouse have also reopened.
Mountain Zebra National Park Manager, Megan Taplin, says the guesthouse will be even better than before, with some new furnishings but still maintaining the historic style and feel of this cultural gem.
The guesthouse, which is self-catering, can accommodate six people in three bedrooms, all with en-suite bathroom, and has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and stoep (veranda) area.
Activities in the park include morning, sunset and evening guided game drives, guided walks, hikes and cheetah tracking.
