Abiy Ahmed, Ethiopia Prime Minister, recently inaugurated a new village lodge around Lake Beseka.
Dubbed Beynouna Village, the village has transformed from a landscape of volcanic remnants to a retreat with green farmland. Amid the surroundings centred around the lake, the aim of the village is to combine natural beauty with a calm atmosphere.
The village is nestled near Metehara, about 200km east of Addis Ababa, and is strategically located near Asebot National Park and Awash National Park, positioning it as an optimal destination for eco-tourism in Ethiopia.
Beynouna accommodation
The village offers a blend of cultural and modern accommodation wings, catering to diverse preferences. The traditional wing was designed with architecture and decorations that reflect the cultural heritage of the region. Alternatively, the modern wing boasts 10 presidential suites – each featuring spacious rooms and state-of-the-art amenities.
In addition, the village offers five RVs and a spacious VIP RV, accommodating visitors seeking exclusivity.
Other offerings
The village offers a spa experience, cinema and soccer and tennis courts for outdoor enthusiasts. Guests can also explore the village’s 10 hectare farm with cows, camels and horses grazing in their natural habitat.
