Eurowings has expanded its long-haul network to include flights between Windhoek and Munich. This comes after other long-haul routes from Munich were launched to Las Vegas and Mauritius. In March 2017, the airline launched its first long-haul flight to Windhoek from Cologne.
André Schulz, General Manager Lufthansa Group Southern Africa, noted: “The new route is attractive for the German market. The reasons are well known: Namibia is renowned for its amazing nature and the fascinating wildlife.”
From July 20, the new route will operate on the following schedule: Flights will depart Munich on Mondays and Fridays at 22h30, arriving in Windhoek at 08h40 the next morning. From July 21, return flights will depart Windhoek on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 18h55 and arrive in Munich at 05h20 the next morning.
