Non-profit organisation, Ikirenga Art and Culture Promotion, has recently announced that the second Ikirenga Culture Tourism Festival in Rwanda will take place in Musanze District, Northern Province, from August 26 until September 1.
The festival aims to celebrate Rwanda's rich cultural heritage while embracing its diverse artistic expressions, captivating language, and natural beauty.
Ikirenga Art and Culture Promotion seeks to position arts, culture, and tourism as key drivers of national and regional growth.
The event will bring together diverse stakeholders, artists, and cultural enthusiasts from different backgrounds.
The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Our Culture is Our Identity’. The festival will serve as a platform for cultural exploration and exchange.
Attendees can expect a programme featuring a mix of modern and traditional music and dance performances, traditional sports, live painting sessions, art and craft exhibitions, film screenings, theatre and poetry performances, comedy, fashion and modelling.
