Tourism Update readers believe that ‘greenwashing’ – a term describing deceptive ways to persuade the public that an organisation’s aims, products and policies are environmentally friendly – is on the rise.
In our latest poll, almost half (46%) of respondents indicated that they had experienced an increase in greenwashing.
Only 10% said they had experienced a decrease, while the remaining 44% were ‘unsure’.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday (February 8) at 19h00.
