Joburg Pride will return this year after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic. The 33rd annual event will take place in Sandton on October 29.
As the longest running pride event in Africa, it is also one of the biggest pride parades in South Africa, drawing thousands of visitors from across the globe.
Gates will open for the celebration at 10h00 and will close at 22h00, with the parade march leaving at 14h00. For more information, click here.
The event is hosted by Johannesburg Pride and Pride of Africa with the goal of ensuring the LGBTQ+ community is included in the global drive for equality.
