Following extensive refurbishments, Jock Safari Lodge has relaunched in the Kruger National Park (KNP).
A new “arrival tent” has been included, with vintage-style furniture and leather travel trunks. The lodge has also revived its colour palette, with brighter spaces combining contemporary design with historical furnishings. 12 secluded thatched suites have received interior refurbishments, with each suite now having its own private deck, an outdoor Victorian bath and shower, as well as a plunge pool and an enclosed sala (day bed).
The dining room and upstairs bar have been redesigned, now including glass sliding doors and extended roofing. The communal swimming pool has been heated, and new stairs provide easy access to the riverbed for the exclusive Riverbed Dining Experience offered during the warmer months.
Within the same concession, Fitzpatrick’s at Jock is also undergoing a revamp, and will re-open on November 1 to cater for families with children, and small groups of up to six travelling together.
