The Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort in Naivasha, Kenya, has added a new room, especially designed for physically challenged guests, ensuring their utmost comfort.
The room is situated on the ground floor for easy access, with an exit in case of an emergency. It gives guests the space needed, making the area easy for those in wheelchairs to move around, and there is enough space to accommodate an additional bed for a helper if need be.
The room features a double bed with a private roll-out balcony, a roll-in shower, a wall-mounted shower seat, and flip-up grab bars on each side of the toilet and shower cubicle.
The entry door to the room is 100 centimetres wide, ideal for wheelchair users; there is an electronic in-room safe which has been installed at the shoulder-height of a sitting person (85 centimetres), and a lower clothes rail in the closet.
All other features in the room have been fitted with wheelchair guests in mind, from the bed to the spaces between furniture, and plug sockets at a height of 65 centimetres.
