Vernon Wait, Marketing Director of Lalibela Private Game Reserve, told Tourism Update, that Marks Camp, Lalibela’s family-focused lodge, will close for three months from mid-April for an extensive refurbishment and rebuild.
“The family suites are being modified to offer more privacy, swimming pools are being re-done, and we are looking at modifying our standard rooms in order to accommodate three adults and, thereby, avoid the need to charge a single supplement.”
He added that, through this refurbishment, Lalibela aimed to ensure that it was well positioned to cater for the growing family travel market.
