Wilderness Safari’s Jao Camp luxury tented camp has closed for a total rebuild.
Work has commenced with part of the structures already removed. Nirvani Pillay, Wilderness Safari’s PR and Media Relations Manager, says the camp closed this month and is expected to reopen next year in June.
Jao Camp offered beautifully-designed tents with en-suite facilities with both indoor and outdoor showers. There are nine luxury tents located in the heart of the Okavango, in the Jao Concession.
In addition to the main lounge and dining area, there are two plunge pools and a boma for dining under the stars. There is also a spa and a gym.
Jao camp is situated in the Jao Concession, north-west of Maun, and the camp can be accessed by air.
Wilderness Safaris operates a wide range of luxury tented camps across southern and East Africa.
