Cresta Jameson Hotel in Harare is undergoing a US$2.5 million refurbishment expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2020. The hotel is open for business during this period as renovations are being done in phases.
All apartments and bedrooms, public areas, banqueting rooms and conference rooms will be given a makeover.
Country Director, Chipo Mandela, says the programme is well advanced and scheduled for completion by April 2020. Work has been completed on the reception, Sandawana restaurant, The Usual Place bar, the residents’ lounge on the first floor, all the conference rooms and floors; as well as bedrooms on levels two, three and four. Work continues on Tiffany’s restaurant and on bedroom floors five, six and seven.
Alexxa (an interactive electronic device that allows guests to give verbal instructions to control the air-conditioner and lights) will be installed in bedrooms. Other features include access-controlled elevators, digital do-not-disturb signs, video conferencing equipment, electronic meal tickets and food ordering.
Cresta Jameson hotel has 123 air-conditioned rooms and six conference rooms.
