Three newly relocated cheetahs are the first to return to the Bangweulu Wetlands in Zambia in almost a century.
According to a statement from conservation organisation, African Parks, the translocation is part of a phased plan to bring more cheetahs to Bangweulu in early 2021.
Working with private partners, the Zambian Government and the local community, African Parks has spent the last 12 years transforming Bangweulu. The wetland serves as an example of community-based conservation in Africa.
