Sun City has undergone a R1bn (€69m) refurbishment and now offers guests more activities.

The resort’s Cabanas hotel and the self-catering Sun Vacation Club apartments have all been redecorated and there is a new entertainment centre as well as a Hall of Fame honouring sportspeople and artists.

The new Sun Park offers both indoor and outdoor events areas. A new adventure hub has also been launched, with a range of outdoor activities including hovercrafts and the Grizzly 4x4 quad challenge.  The Valley of Waves water park has two new slides, while Waterworld offers more water sports, go-karts and adventure golf.

Two new restaurants have been added – the 190-seat Legends and the Bocado restaurant at the Cascades – while the Grill Room in the Palace has received an upgrade and a new lakeside terrace.
