Natural Selection will launch scheduled flying safaris in Namibia on March 1.
The six-night journeys will depart on Sundays from Windhoek and let guests experience the Namibian landscape from the skies followed by a stay at Natural Selection’s safari camps.
The first two nights of the safari will be spent at Natural Selection’s newest property, Kwessi Dunes, where each room has its own star-gazing bed, in the private NamibRand Nature Reserve.
From there guests are flown over Sossuvlei and Dead Vlei to the coast and over Sandwich Harbour before touching down in Swakopmund to explore the coastal town. The flying safari then continues over the Skeleton Coast before stopping at Hoanib Valley Camp in Kaokoland.
After two nights at Hoanib Valley Camp, guests set off for the Skeleton Coast to Shipwreck Lodge for the final two nights of the safari.
For those with more time, two nights can be added at Safarihoek in Etosha Private Reserve.
“Our safaris showcase the highlights of the Namib Desert: Sossusvlei, desert-adapted elephants, rhinos, giraffes and lions, and a Himba cultural experience. Shipwreck is the only lodge inside the Skeleton Coast Park with an easy add-on to game-rich Etosha,” says Dave van Smeerdijk, Natural Selection Co-founder and Director of Sales and Marketing.
The six-night itinerary starts from NS$89 920 (€5 500) per person and includes six nights’ accommodation, a range of safari activities and all flights in Namibia.
