Bay View Resort, a new luxury 44-room beach hotel, opened this month between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay in Namibia.
Dean van Rooyen, General Manager, told Tourism Update that the hotel had four King Suites leading on to the beach, and 40 Deluxe Suites.
“Bay View Resort Namibia is on the beach and all the bedrooms (suites) are sea facing, and the famous Namib dunes are on the other side. The property is situated in the middle of all major activities and guests are spoiled, with a choice of activities within a 20km radius.”
Facilities include a heated swimming pool, spa, restaurant, conference venue and sixth-floor Sky Bar overlooking the ocean and offering sunset views.
The conference room holds 50 delegates in schoolroom seating and the Sky Bar can accommodate 40 guests. The restaurant can take 50 guests inside and 50 more on the deck leading off the restaurant.
