AfriCamps has announced the opening of AfriCamps at Mackers in Hazyview, Mpumalanga on July 1.
AfriCamps at Mackers is the sixth camp in South Africa’s growing glamping brand, and AfriCamps first property outside of the Western Cape.
The self-catering set up, with the option to order breakfast baskets or dinner/braai (barbecue) packages, offers the freedom and flexibility for guests to come and go as they please.
Accommodation comprises ten in-house designed and manufactured glamping tents, all of which face the Sabie River.

The five sleeper, two-bedroom tents come complete with a kitchen and bathroom, along with air-conditioning and a closed combustion fire place.

At the camp, guests can explore the rapids and rock formations along the river, go hiking, or opt for personal spa treatments which take place in the comfort of their tent. In addition, there is an on-site pool.
Hazyview and the surrounding areas offer an array of activities, such as Perry’s Bridge Reptile Park, and is in close proximity to the Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route, two of the most popular tourist attractions in the province.
When staying at AfriCamps at Mackers, guests will be welcomed by owners, Ryan McKain and Michelle McKain. Both have extensive knowledge of the area and are happy to assist with the setting up of various half- or full-day tours that are on offer.
