Lonrho Hotels will open a new five-star hotel in Gaborone, Botswana, in July.

The Lonrho Lansmore Masa Square will have 153 guest bedrooms, a conference centre with capacity for up to 350 delegates, a roof-top pool and cocktail bar, a Lonrho business lounge, as well as a coffee shop and gourmet restaurant.

“Gaborone is developing rapidly, with growth in the leisure and business markets. The new hotel is located in Masa Square, the prime market position right at the heart of Gaborone’s new central business district,” said David Lenigas, Executive Chairman of Lonrho.

“The new hotel is going to be the hub of entertainment and cultural life in Gaborone. We’ve been working on this exciting project for nearly four years and we’re very happy to be partnering with Lonrho Hotels, who have the experience and expertise to make the hotel a Botswana landmark,” said Hotel Developer and Managing Director of RDC Properties, Guido Giachetti.
