Dream Hotels & Resorts has taken ownership of Little Switzerland Resort in the Northern Drakensberg, KwaZulu Natal, it’s 22nd property in South Africa.
The resort, which has been open since 1989, is three hours from Durban and Johannesburg and offers guests views of the Drakensberg Amphitheatre. Accommodation comprises 24 self-catering chalets, six executive suites with mountain views, four honeymoon suites with Jacuzzi baths and mountain views, six garden-facing standard rooms and six pool-side standard rooms. All rooms are en-suite.
The resort offers hiking on several trails, two swimming pools, a putt-putt course and bowling green, croquet area, tennis and volleyball courts, private spa rooms and two dams nearby for fly fishing. Little Switzerland also offers a ‘Kids’ Club’ with a climbing wall, jumping castles; playroom; spa and entertainment area.
Meals can be enjoyed in the main dining room or on the patio overlooking the mountains. The resort boasts its own petrol station on site as well as a convenience store.
