The Kruger National Park’s Phalaborwa Gate is currently inaccessible due to protests by communities in the Ba-Phalaborwa area.
Protesters have been gathering since Sunday, August 2, on access roads such as the R71, which leads to the Phalaborwa Gate.
The protests have so far resulted in the burning of vehicles, and schools and businesses in the affected area are temporarily closed.
Guests are advised to use alternative gates, such as Orpen or Punda Maria, until further notice.
