Valor Hospitality Partners Africa has signed a management agreement with Fancourt Hotel and Estate.

Willie Williams, director of sales and marketing Africa for Valor, told Tourism Update that Valor also manages Spier wine farm in Stellenbosch, Camissa House in Cape Town, Lord Milner Hotel in Matjiesfontein, and Silvan Safari in Sabi Sands. It will also manage the Voco hotel in Rosebank, which is part of the Intercontinental Hotel Group, scheduled to open in February 2021.

Willie said as Valor did ‘soft-branding’, there would be no changes to the name. “The branding stays as is. Fancourt is a brand on its own, so there’s no mention of Valor whatsoever. Just the management is done by us.”

Valor will be taking over from outgoing ceo, Georgie Davidson, but Willie said there wouldn’t be any major changes. “Pretty much everything stays as is, and continues as is.”

Fancourt comprises the Fancourt hotel and the Manor House, which together offer 133 rooms and suites
