This week’s video comes from Pangolin Wildlife Photography’s Co-Founder Gerhard ‘Guts’ Swanepoel, who demonstrates the different ways photography enthusiasts can snag the perfect picture of the African Jacana bird.
African Jacanas, also known as Lily Trotters, are waders known for their long, elongated toes and claws that enable them to walk on vegetation floating on lakes.
Another unusual feature is that it is the males who incubate and raise the chicks, sometimes carrying their babies under their wings for easy transport.
