The Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve in Ceres in the Western Cape expects to reopen on February 1 after the reserve and Kuganha tented camp were closed following flooding in December.
Inverdoorn, which is a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Cape Town, is a 10 000-hectare private game reserve that offers Big 5 safaris for overnight guests.
It is also home to a cheetah conservation project.
The reserve recently posted on Facebook that it was looking forward to welcoming guests at Kuganha tented safari camp, and the main lodge, Inverdoorn.
