As part of its 10th edition, We Are Africa is expanding its format with the launch of We Are Africa Local – a dedicated day for Southern Africa-based travel professionals to engage with the continent’s top high-end travel suppliers. We Are Africa Local will extend the event to a full five days on May 9 at DHL Stadium in Cape Town.
“We Are Africa Local has added an incredible new dimension to the We Are Africa week – allowing us to welcome a key player of the industry to enjoy the We Are Africa exhibitors and event format,” said Ryan Wallace, MD and Co-Founder of We Are Africa.
The initiative provides an exclusive platform for up to 200 local trade professionals to connect with exhibitors from across Africa and the Indian Ocean. Attendees will have access to 15 pre-scheduled appointments as well as networking opportunities designed to strengthen relationships and enhance product knowledge.
This year’s event showcases destinations across the continent with Southern Africa making up 54% of the supplier presence, followed by East Africa (33%), North Africa (4%), Central Africa (2%) and the Indian Ocean islands (7%).
Brands will extend their time in Cape Town to meet with a curated mix of locally based travel professionals including:
