SHAMWARI Game Reserve near Port Elizabeth is now offering a unique bush survival and team building safari experience to the business community. The reserve is offering a variety of MICE packages ranging from ‘behind the scenes’ conservation experiences to corporate ‘game ranger school’ encounters. The ‘behind the scenes’ conservational experience allows business colleagues to work closely together, tracking wild animals in the reserve and assisting the experienced conservation team in releasing Big Five animals into the wild. The ‘game ranger school’ encounter allows high-powered delegates to undergo the life of a game ranger, giving them hands on experience. Business colleagues will embark on game drives and walking safaris, gaining knowledge on South Africa’s wild and diverse fauna and flora and camping out in the African bushveld. Special guest speaker and renowned conservationist Quinton Coetzee is also available to share his survival skills knowledge. Coetzee’s presentation demonstrates the comparisons between the fight for survival of a San Bushman Tribe and the equally cut-throat world of business. In addition, wildlife moments and memorable events will be captured by international wildlife filmmaker Lyndal Davies and her crew; ensuring individuals receive a safari souvenir.
