The Cellars-Hohenort in Constantia Valley, Cape Town, is upgrading many of its rooms and suites.
General Manager of the hotel, Dominic Prendergast, said: “We're diligent about continually enhancing and improving the guest experience to guarantee that we live up to, not only our world-class location, but also our commitment to ensure guests leave feeling better than when they arrived.”
Twelve of the 51 rooms and suites will undergo a refurbishment, with new soft furnishings and upholstered headboards, custom-made furniture and fixtures, tailor-made accents and new carpeting.
Several of the hotel’s public areas will also receive subtle updates in the form of new upholstery and soft furnishings.
Janet De Jager, on-site interior decorator for The Collection by Liz McGrath, says: The goal of the refurbishments is to maintain the property’s unique atmosphere and authenticity but incorporate necessary touches of modernity for a refreshed and updated look. We anticipate that the refurbishments will be completed by the end of July.”
The guest rooms overlook 3.6 hectares of garden and vineyards.
The hotel boasts two swimming pools, a tennis court, full-service spa, hairdresser and boutique.
