Centum Investments launched Kenya’s largest observation wheel at Two Rivers Mall on Thursday (February 28), making it the latest addition to the facility, which features a variety of amenities including a theme park.
The 60-metre-high wheel, dubbed the Eye of Kenya, comprises 40 capsules, each seating an estimated six passengers, providing visitors with panoramic views of Nairobi.
Centum Non-Executive Director and Two River Development Ltd Chairman, Chris Kirubi said: “As a former chairman of one of Kenya’s organisations tasked with driving Kenyan brand, I am very pleased to see innovations such as the Eye of Kenya launched in the country,” reports Daily Nation.
Kenya’s President, Uhuru Kenyatta, who was present at the launch on Thursday, said that the tourism sector continued to thrive and grow. “We are not closed to the fact that we need to ensure we are offering tourists experiences that are memorable and unique,” reports Daily Nation.
Centum is a shareholder of the Two Rivers Development and owner of Two Rivers Mall.
