Abseil Victoria Falls (AVF) will resume abseiling next month in the Batoka Gorge, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
AVF says the activity was suspended early this year due to high water levels in the Zambezi River. The water levels have since receded, making it possible to resume the activity.
AVF Spokesperson, Blessed Gundo, commented: “During temporary closure, we took the opportunity to service our machinery to ensure the safety of our guests. We have put in place new sets of ropes and other parts of our machinery.”
Depending on water levels, tourists can descend as low as 100 metres into the gorge, to the Boiling Pot at the bottom, to take photos of the Falls.
Other activities in the resort town include the gorge swing, bridge swinging, white-water rafting, sky diving and bungee jumping.
