James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member: Economic Opportunities and Asset Management for the City of Cape Town, shared a picture of himself standing beside Cape Town International Airport’s brand-new e-gates this morning.
The e-gates will streamline operations for arrivals and departures at the award-winning airport, which brings in millions of travellers to the Mother City every year.
“[The airport] is ready to again welcome visitors to our beautiful shores!” Vos writes.
“In my discussions with the airport team, I highlighted the City’s place marketing branding that showcases our value proposition as a destination for ‘Investment, Play, Work, Study, Stay and Visit’. We also looked at how we can accelerate economic activities around the airport and work towards a booming aerotropolis to the benefit of surrounding communities and the greater Cape Town area.”
