The Ugandan Ministry of Health has announced that all inbound arrivals no longer need to wait at Entebbe International Airport for their negative COVID-19 test results – a process that can take several hours – before being allowed to leave for their destination.
“All inbound travellers will be allowed to proceed to their respective destinations after their samples have been removed, and self-isolate until they receive their results,” a press statement from the Ministry advises.
Positive cases identified after arrivals have already left the airport will then be tracked and evacuated to designated hospitals for appropriate management and care.
All inbound travellers are additionally urged to correctly fill out the pre-registration health locator form prior to their flight.
