The toll tariff for Chapman’s Peak Drive in the Cape Peninsula has increased this month.
The concessionaire of the road, in partnership with the Western Cape Government and SANParks, is required to increase the tariff in line with annual inflation.
According to ChapmansPeakDrive.co.za, the increases from July 1, to June 30, 2024 are as follows:
- Category 1 (Motorbikes) – previously R37 (€1.8), now R40 (€1.9)
- Category 2 (Kombi/Minibus/Big 4X4/Car/Bakkie) – previously R57 (€2.8), now R61 (€3)
- Category 3 (Midibus/2-axle truck) – previously R228 (€11.2), now R245 (€12)
- Category 4 (Tourbus/3-axle bus) – previously R571 (€28), now R613 (€30)
