International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Africa 2025 will shift from Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden to the Norval Foundation, a contemporary art and sculpture museum in Cape Town, from April 6-8 next year. The theme, “Ignite Africa with Luxury Travel”, will spotlight the growing role of art in the luxury tourism sector.
“The luxury tourism sector is hugely important to Cape Town’s economy and its potential to add sustainable jobs. Cape Town is one of the world’s great art cities and delegates at ILTM are in for a treat at this beautiful contemporary art museum and sculpture garden. I look forward to welcoming all the buyers, exhibitors and media to ILTM Africa 2025,” said Geordin Hill-Lewis, Cape Town Mayor.
Art is fast becoming the new culinary tourism, said Megan de Jager, ILTM Africa Portfolio Director. “Cultural immersion is now a core element of the luxury tourism experience. The Norval Foundation provides the perfect setting to explore this exciting trend and ignite new ideas about African luxury travel.”
ILTM Africa 2025 will gather industry buyers and exhibitors, providing networking and appointment opportunities. The event will also introduce a new platform, "In Conversation," aimed at encouraging discussions and sharing innovative ideas within the luxury travel space.
ILTM Africa will also collaborate with local artisans, providing a platform to showcase their talents and connect with key players in the luxury tourism industry. “This collaboration allows us to introduce international guests to the museum and the talent of African artists as we continue to celebrate their contributions globally and support art education,” said Caroline Greyling, Norval Foundation Museum Director.
