Independent regional airline, Airlink, will fly the Titans cricket teams to their away games in the forthcoming 2022/23 domestic season as part of an exclusive partnership deal signed with the Centurion-based side on Thursday (November 10).
The sponsorship is for the men’s Momentum Multiply Titans and the Fidelity Titans women’s teams, and covers flights to and from their games played outside Gauteng.
It covers the four-day series in which the Titans are defending champions, as well as the One-Day Cup and the T20 Challenge.
“We want to get involved with sports teams all over South Africa that encourage young folk to have aspirations and dream, and the Titans are just that,” said Carla da Silva, Executive Manager of Sales and Marketing for Airlink.
Airlink also has partnerships with other South African sports teams such as the Cheetahs, Pumas and Knights.
Da Silva told Tourism Update that Airlink was currently negotiating with SA20 to become the official airline partner for all six teams competing in the upcoming cricket tournament between January and February next year.
