Sun Destinations, in association with Wildside Africa, have opened two new camps in Botswana.

Sun Destinations will handle the marketing and reservations, while Wildside Africa operates and manages the camps.

Tuskers Bush Camp lies on a 365 000 hectare private concession between Nxai Pan National Park in the east and Moremi Game Reserve in the west.

The camp comprises six Meru-style canvas suites with en-suite bathrooms, showers, twin beds, cupboard space, and views of the bush.

Experiences include sunset game drives in the private concession and full day safaris to Moremi Game Reserve and Khwai.

Xobega Island Camp is located in the Okavango Delta. Just off the mainland of Moremi Game Reserve, Xobega (or Gcobega) Island is easily accessible for self-drivers. 

Xobega Island Camp comprises 10 Meru-style safari tents with open-air canvas bathrooms added to each tent, complete with bucket showers, hand basins, and chemical eco-toilets. Each tent has two stretchers with mattresses and linen in each tent.

Experiences include morning and evening boat cruises, sundowners on the water, birdwatching, photography, mokoro cruises and bush walks on the island.

Reservations for these new camps will open on May 23 through the Sun Destinations reservations office.
