Reteti House, within Kenya’s Namunyak Community Conservancy, has introduced two new rooms increasing its capacity to host up to 16 guests in an exclusive-use setting. The expansion provides more flexibility for families and groups with the updated accommodation layout now including:
- Four standalone rooms
- Open-plan family room (one double bed and two singles)
- Family suite (two rooms connected by a shared verandah and living space)
- Two guide rooms (styled like the standalone rooms for guides or pilots)
Guests staying at Sarara and Reteti House now have access to an exclusive Reteti Sanctuary Experience offering extended, private interactions with elephants.
This experience allows guests to follow elephants into the bush after their feeding session, accompanied by a Reteti keeper and guide. A bush meal is set up in a secluded area where guests can observe the herd in their natural surroundings and learn about the rehabilitation process before their release into the Namunyak wilderness.
Guests are reminded that touching the elephants remains prohibited.
