Bushtracks Steam Safaris is ‘back on track’ with four scheduled runs a week between Zimbabwe and Zambia, with new and exciting developments on both sides of the border.
Not only is Bushtracks Express, Zimbabwe, returning to the rails from May 5, and resuming its Tuesday and Friday weekly runs, but it has signed a new catering partnership with Camilla Meiring, who has enhanced the menu and service to ensure a truly unforgettable fine-dining experience.
"We consider the down-time period during the pandemic as 'beauty-sleep' for our prestigious train, as she returns with updated branding and exciting improvements,” says Christopher Tett, COO of Bushtracks.
The good news does not end there! The Royal Livingstone Express in Zambia, which has been limited to Saturday runs of late, will also be returning to full schedule, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays from May 3.
No matter where the journey starts, this unique experience guarantees the height of comfort and luxury. Guests are welcomed with a refreshing drink before boarding the train, which meanders leisurely to the Victoria Falls Bridge where it comes to a stop. The stunning backdrop of the spray from the Victoria Falls shimmering in the last rays of the setting sun can be enjoyed on the bridge with sundowner refreshments. Once back on board, guests are treated to a delightful five-course dinner, paired with decadent wines as the train chugs through the national park under a starlit African sky.
A ticket guarantees guests an all-inclusive world-class experience as well as seamless cross-border transfers. Guests now have access to this unique activity four days a week from either side of the Victoria Falls Bridge.
This signature activity is truly a one-of-a-kind addition to any trip in the region. Keep an eye out for further details!
