Offbeat Safaris has given its Ekorian’s Mugie Camp, situated in Laikipia in Kenya, a fresh look.

Additional rooms have been added to the camp, along with new roofs and new facing on existing tents.

This brings Ekorian’s capacity to six rooms, with two of them being family rooms that both with an annex that can sleep up to three children (under 12 years old). The camp has a swimming pool overlooking a watering hole, and is surrounded by a stone wall and electric fence, which allows safe walking around the property, as well as allowing children to play safely.

Activities offered at the camp include birding, fishing, kayaking, camel treks, golf, hiking, star-gazing, and abundant wildlife.

Ekorian has also unveiled its ‘new-old” safari car, called ‘Kifahari’ (meaning elegant in Swahili). Originally manufactured in the early 1960s, the vehicle has been refurbished, offering guests an experience of stepping back in time to enjoy wildlife viewing in the open-air-styled car, ideal for photography.
