According to Coastal Aviation, the new route provides its trade partners with more options to link remote and authentic safari destinations with alternative international points of arrival/departure.
Martin Mbonde, Reservation Manager at Coastal Aviation, told Tourism Update: “The new flights will be from Ruaha via Iringa and Kilimanjaro to Arusha.”
From June 1, Coastal Aviation will depart Ruaha at 12h10; depart Iringa at 13h10; and depart Kilimanjaro at 14h45 to arrive in Arusha at 15h30.
Dixita Patel, sales and marketing executive at Coastal Aviation, said that the route would be operated by a Cessna Caravan EX.
According to Mbonde, the existing flight between Arusha and Kilimanjaro, which departs at 12h45, landing at 13h15, will not be affected by the changes.
Coastal Aviation’s new flights will allow passengers who are continuing their journey to the coast to connect with Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, RwandAir, KLM, Condor, Turkish Airlines and more, out of Kilimanjaro International Airport.
Coastal Aviation is providing more efficient options for travellers, meaning less time spent in transit at airport terminals en-route to their destination, which equates to more time on safari.
