In response to Tourism Business Council of South Africa CEO, Tshifhiwa Tshivhengwa’s call to open borders and stimulate economic growth, public relations and community tourism specialist, Victor Sibeko, wrote:
“We are honestly ready and geared up to get back to business. Co-operation with local properties and the entire tourism value chain will have to feature large in order to make a grand reopening of the sector. It has been too long now and some of us in the travel business have surrendered some of our assets, such as vehicles, due to lockdown. Truth be told, 2020 never existed or favoured business this year.”
